I have loved Michael Jackson and his music for my entire life, but yesterday I realized how I pretty much followed the crowd in relation to his surgeries, molestation accusations, etc. I spent all of today and yesterday watching youtube videos of Michael Jackson including the documentaries/interviews, "Living With Michael Jackson", "Michael Jackson: The Footage You Weren't Meant To See" & his first interview about his skin color with Oprah.

I realized how much of a free spirit and a child at heart he was. He did not deserve the negative commentary people were putting on his life. I do not believe any of the rumors people say about him being a child molester. Nor do I believe that he bleached his skin besides fixing his vitiligo. I recommend watching the interviews I mentioned because they will change your opinion of him.

I got 40 of his songs today that I've never heard before & I plan on listening to them on the way to Vermont tonight. I also hope to get the shirt above.

Rest in peace Michael Jackson. You will be greatly missed :(

This week a bunch of French exchange students came to my school. My friend Madeline had a boy named Adam stay with her. We went to the mall on Saturday and used a photo booth. Later that day we went bike riding around the neighborhood.(I wore tThis morning I woke up with a huge sinus headache. I went to school for three hours and then went home so I could sleep from 11 AM to 6 PM. Allergies are the worst invention ever.

The past three weeks I've been helping with my school's production of Taming of the Shrew. The director decided to make it 1960s themed so it has tons of awesome 60s music and hippie outfits. I helped with the costume stuff because it's all I can do. I wore this outfit to rehearsal on Sunday. It's all from Express.& finally, I went to dance class tonight but I took pictures instead of actually dancing because I'm sick.

My little brother just got the new Nitendo DSI. It's the most magical piece of technology I've ever come across! It can do basically everything except make phone calls and make videos. You can edit and listen to music, take pictures, edit pictures, go on the internet, buy games without going to the store, and play games the old fashioned way. It's a piece of magic. Yesterday I went to Mercy College in New York for a tour. My mom and I were killing time when we saw a huge house. We immediately stopped and found that we could take a tour of it. The house was called Lyndhurst and it was a Gothic revival. It was the prettiest house I've ever seen. I just came back from a five day trip to Vermont with Derrien. The trip consisted of us watching TV for eight hours straight almost every day. But I did manage to buy my prom dress at Betsey Johnson while I was there. I was really close to buying this dress, but my mom didn't like the color on me. I look stupid. My dog is my savior. On the way to Vermont there's a house that looks almost exactly like the one from Beetlejuice, it's kind of awesome. Derrien, my brother, and I were playing baseball with hard boiled eggs. I guess it's a new Easter tradition...

Today I went to Goodwill and got a pair of bleach stained jeans (Paris Blues),

& a nerdy sweater that fits me perfectly. I ALSO WENT TO TARGET THIS WEEKEND AND HELPED CAROLINE FIND A PROM DRESS! She got this for only 55 bucks. WHATTA DEAL!I got a short black skirt that feels like a garbage bag, but I really like it & can't wait for the weather to get nicer so I can WEAR IT.
Today I also went to Costco & got me some new prescription glasses. YAY! I'm gonna go watch Vh1 & eat green tea ice cream. SEE YA!

I LOVE FLANNEL

So today has been the most boring day of my entire life. I was awake at 8:30, which is very very early for me on a weekend, and it made my day feel much longer than usual. I played the sims and attempted to make a dress out of my dad's old shirt BUT I sewed the chest piece to the top of the empire waist so there's no hole to put your head in!

I know I blogged about this exact same flannel shirt, but I wear it all the time. It's a piece of magic!The outfit I chose today was pretty much a random assortment of whatever looked comfortable. Although my outfit doesn't match very well, there's just something about it that makes me happy.

Two summers ago my family and I went to San Francisco. This was back in the days when I couldn't figure out how to style my bangs. San Francisco is the windiest place I have ever been to and I suggest you wear a scarf or a hat if you go because your hair will get ruined. Our trip included site seeing in Naples, California to visit the Wine Country. My brother and I hated it because there was nothing for us to do but admire some grape trees. My parents loved it though, go figure.
The best part of the entire trip was Alcatraz. Most people find it to be very creepy and haunted, but I thought it was one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. I would love to live on a small island with tons of decrepit buildings; It was fascinating! There were also millions of seagulls flying around; the ground was covered with bird poop.

I love the designer Stephen Sprouse. I just realized today that he was associated with Andy Warhol, which is kind of funny and weird at the same time. I love Andy Warhol with an undeniable passion, but for some reason whenever I find a new model or designer that I love, they've always had something to do with Andy Warhol. It's like he's haunting my thoughts!

I would also really like to own this Stephen Sprouse skirt. He made this when he collaborated with Target to make a more affordable collection. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to buy a $95 skirt any time soon...

I think these shoes are wonderful but they're a whopping $1500. It has to do with the fact that Louis Vuitton made a collection completely inspired by Stephen Sprouse's designs because he's no longer alive.
And finally,

I seem to be addicted to blogging today, but this is the last thing for the day. I PROMISE! I took one of my really long skirts from The Gap and wore it as a dress. I also put a sparkly belt around my waist because I would look like a white blob without it.
It's really challenging to take a picture of yourself if you want a full body shot. I pretty much fail at doing this, so don't expect to be too impressed by the pictures.

Beating Me Down

The past two weeks have been really empty and uneventful, but I think I've enjoyed myself a lot more. Being alone is very tranquil and soothing because I hate drama and I hate entertaining other people if there's an awkward moment; there's just too much work involved with being with other people.

Today I took a walk with my brother, Bubby, in the woods. The woods are technically my neighbor's property, but they have a lot more acreage than my family. My neighbor actually came out of no where and started talking to us, but I had never met him so I thought he was a molester or something creepy. He just wanted to say that he's glad someone's finally admiring his property. It's HUGE.

You know how in books, songs, movies, etc. there's usually a boy or girl who writes down the unique things they love about their secret admirer/lover? I've always wanted a song written about me. I think I go out of my way sometimes just to be extra strange, but this typically happens when I'm alone...so, what am I hoping for? By the sounds of it, I want a stalker.
I want someone who watches me lay in an empty bathtub just to pass the time. I want someone who thinks it's cute when I sneak out of bed and sleep on the couch just to have new scenery. I wouldn't mind a stalker... I want someone who admires the fact that I like to be quiet randomly. I want someone who doesn't care that I hate tomatoes and love meat, even though I put tomato sauce instead of meat sauce on my spaghetti.

Hello world! Sorry I haven't updated in a week, but I've been really busy with personal problems and fun stuff like that. I just realized that I've never put any pictures up from Florida besides the beach ones.

This was the foggiest day I've ever experienced.
I tie dyed the strapless dress I'm wearing in Chemistry class a couple months ago. I also got those brand new royal blue slippers. I love them like a fat kid love cake.
This was my favorite outfit while I was in Florida. The tank and shorts are both from Express. I had to get the sunglasses in Florida since I forgot to bring my own! They were only three dollars :)

I went to the mall on Friday with one of my best friends, Carey. We went to H&M, Old Navy, & Journey's. We were planning to go into every single store but we just weren't feeling that great.
I got the pencil skirt and huge sunglasses from H&M. I've had the tank top for two years, but it's from Hot Topic in case any one cares :)

On Saturday I went to see Coraline in 3-D with Madeline, Taylor, and Brie. For dinner, Madeline and I went to an Ethiopian restaurant where I experienced some ethnic cuisine. I also saw two showings of my school play, which was written by one of my friends. I spent the night at Madeline's and had a laid back Sunday full of sneezing and allergies.

I just dyed my entire head with pink hair dye, but of course it's not going to do anything on my almost black hair. I think I just dye my hair as a hobby because it always entertains me more than the computer. I decided not to wear gloves since hair dye easily comes out with shampoo and I don't really give a fuck about anything today. I call this picture "You caught me pink handed!"

This technically isn't New York, New York but it was the first quote that came to mind. All of these pictures are from my grandparent's vacation home in a small town in New York. They have 75 acres and it's probably my favorite piece of property on the Earth because they have their own waterfall and brook. After we went there, my family took a trip to West Point to watch my cousin march in a new cadet parade. My other cousin brought her stuffed animal elephant and I got to name him Gustavo. I'm really close with my three youngest cousins. I used to find them really annoying but they've grown on me recently.

I Hope You Dye!

It still astonishes me that people stare at others with weird colored hair. In a way, dying your hair lets you unleash your creative side and intertwine your inner feelings on the outside. I have dyed my hair many many times and let me tell you, it's hard work keeping your hair bright and alive. I have naturally dark brown hair so bleaching absolutely killed it. Bleaching is basically stripping your hair of all former pigmentation, which can cause it to break off if you don't care to it properly.

Once again, I was inspired by Audrey Kitching to dye my hair, but in addition to her, I was inspired by my all-time favorite model, Raquel Reed.

My mom wouldn't allow me to bleach my entire head so I had to compromise. Instead, I bleached underneath my hair and then dyed it blue. Then my hair faded to green and it looked horrible so I decided to dye it PINK! This hair color was amazing and I kept for an entire year. Then I got bored with just having pink hair so I bleached some more of my hair. Then I dyed some purple, blue, pink, and kept some of it blond.
My favorite hair color I've ever had was blond, blue, pink, and brown. I thought I was quite the looker.

One day I got the smart idea to re-bleach my hair since the roots were way grown out. This turned out to be the stupidest idea. My pink hair all fell out so my hair underneath was only 5 inches long. I then dyed it all blue and it basically turns gray after one week. I miss my old hair :(

The lady in the picture above is one of my many inspirations. Her name is Audrey Kitching and she is an "underground" model for many different clothing lines. She does the most creative photo shoots I've ever seen and I absolutely love her. I would just like to point out that I own the dress that she's wearing. It's from New York Couture and it was my Christmas present from Jaclyn and Madeline.New York Couture is my second favorite clothing line because everything is handmade by the designer, Cassie K, which proves how unique it is. Cassie says that she was trying to make a current version of Marie Antoinette when she created her fashion line. Katy Perry and Agyness Deyn frequently buy outfits from New York Couture.

Vermont Con Jaclyn

This is Jaclyn.
She is strange.
That is why we're friends.
Jaclyn and I went to Vermont last weekend & had an exciting adventure in my old house. This house has no furniture whatsoever, so it was a great place to take pictures. Unfortunately, I didn't use the flash so the majority of my pictures came out blurry. This was the only one that came out well.

The piece of clothing I find myself wearing constantly is my dad's flannel. Everyone else seems to be buying their own flannel, but I'm lucky enough to have a huge stash of it. Flannel was the only thing my dad wore when he was in his twenties & thirties, but his fashion taste has changed. I got all his flannel :)

All of this stuff is by Lazy Oaf. I love how cute and funny it is. It's also pretty cheap, but you have to pay more shipping since it's international. I'm hopefully going to buy the cheeseburger coin purse, it's only ten bucks :)

This is my adventure to the Central Park Zoo this past summer. The penguins were definitely the highlight of my trip, but I also found myself very interested in the polar bears. It was extremely hard to get pictures of the birds because they were the most spazztic little creatures, but I tried any way :)
My favorite picture from my trip to NYC is the one to the right. This one penguin held his arms out like he was attempting to fly for twenty straight minutes. I was trying to convey that my brother wanted to help the penguin escape from the exhibit, but the dark lighting proved that he was pretty much incapable of doing something that bold. Oh god, I'm lame.

Alright, so I'm guilty of not being the photographer for these photos, but I was the model for them! I got to wear my friend Madeline's Betsey Johnson dress, which was amazing and I never wanted to take it off. Betsey Johnson is my all time favorite designer because she's over 60 years old and still manages to make the most badass and funky outfits I've ever seen.

I can't afford any of Betsey Johnson's dresses at the moment, but I was able to buy a pair of flats, a pair of big heart earrings, and a pink sweatshirt that I love. I plan on working at Betsey Johnson when I stay in Vermont for the summer, but I'm not sure if this is a possibility yet because I'm going to France for a week :)

I recently entered this in a photography contest, it's my dog Levi.

I am mostly going to blog about photography because it's what I'm passionate about. On the other hand, I am a huge fan of fashion which I why I'd like to become a fashion photographer. Ohhh how witty!

I don't own a professional camera so I just take advantage of my wonderful Casio digital camera instead :) I mostly photograph my dog and the outdoors because they're my favorite objects to capture. I especially love when the sun is set very high in the sky and casts an immense amount of bright light on an object. Bright light contrasts are probably my favorite things to get in my nature photographs.
